Kids run in and out, candles burn, the fan stirs the air, and I keep pounding keys... I'm editing a book with Mitch Ratcliffe, and at the same time I'm in the last phase of the Wireless Future project, producing a conference-within-a-conference that's just a week away. And there's other stuff, but the point is that this is a stretch of a few weeks that's way more crowded than usual, so I haven't been blogging much even though I'm throwing off a lot of sparks I'd like to channel into some kind of narrative. One other thing I'm doing that's interesting is coordinating with a bunch of tech-savvy activists who worked on the Howard Dean campaign. The convergence of social software with political activism has just begun. Mitch and I, along with Joi Ito, Adina Levin, and Zack Rosen, will talk more about this at SXSW Interactive. Our presentation is called "Weblogs and Emergent Democracy," though it's about more than just weblogs. And democracy is just an intention. ![]() Any parties? Well... It's PARTY time...
