« Community Broadband Act of 2005 | Main | flickr's organization: aha! » Deep Impact![]() NASA's Deep Impact spacecraft will (if all goes well) rendezvous with comet Tempel 1 and send an impactor, collision with which will create a crater on the surface of the comet's nucleus. The idea is to take a look inside the comet's nucleus, and gather data about its composition. The timing's pretty cool – this'll be happening around the fourth of July.
