I personally feel a sense of urgency about doing more to kindle solutions as environmenal and sociopolitical issues loom ever darker, not on the horizon but just overhead. There's a big two page spread advert for Ed Burtynsky's work in the latest Art in America. A chicken rendering factory in China.
Very interesting stuff.
One thing that photography like his can't seem to avoid is how beautiful it makes the depiction of dystopian scenes.
