You can search news and blogs, or news only, but not blogs only. However blog results are displayed separately in a column on the right side of the results page. So far the aforementioned results are underwhelming, and Google's blog search isn't much better. Technorati's stilll got the best handle on blog searches, maybe it should add a news search?
