« Harryhausen on King Kong | Main | Wi-Fi everywhere, Nintendo everywhere » Senate spyware billA Senate committee has passed a spyware bill - passed it out of committee, that is. The House already passed two spyware bills, but this is the first from the senate. Hopefully this will get traction and lead to actual legislation soon. And hopefully it'll have real teeth. (I haven't read the bill or summary info, but infoware says the bill "would prohibit hackers from remotely taking over a computer and prohibit programs that hijack Web browsers. The bill would protect antispyware software vendors from being sued by companies whose software they block." [Link] jon posted this at 8:03 AM |
