Cory links to a USA Today article that says eMusic has 11% market share, second after ITunes at 67%. The site, which provides mp3 files without copy protection, focuses on independent music, cool cutting-edge stuff that you might never find on the other sites. The truly great if obscure stuff is visible on eMusic because they find ways to tell you about it - reviews and a site 'magazine,' as well as reviews ported over from allmusic.com.
